With over 30 years in agribusiness Steve’s strategic thinking and negotiating skills have been the linchpin of growth in numerous agribusiness ventures. Focussed on change, innovation, talent management and strategy, Steve is a known thought leader, trusted advisor and corporate negotiator. Much of Steve’s career has been focused on working with farmers developing markets and supply chains for their produce both domestically and internationally. Current roles include Director Commodity Trading Solutions, Director AMPS Agribusiness and Managing Director TurfBreed.
Katrina Taylor is one of the key members of the TurfBreed team who is the first port-of-call for many growers with day-to-day queries. One of Katrina’s major projects has been creating the Grower Portal which she manages on a daily basis. Katrina’s interest in agriculture led her to the University of Melbourne where she completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science. Since then she has been fortunate enough to work in the agricultural industry - focussing on the grain sector. She has worked for many of the major players in grain and has been lucky enough to learn the end-to-end process of business. Work experience areas include trading, quality, export, and, more recently, IT to support these functions. Katrina’s interest in systems and processes has led her to creating and managing systems and helping TurfBreed’s business improve in many areas.
Ann has extensive experience in retail horticulture and business management with 30 years in the business of growing business and people. With experience in business acquisition, startup and consolidation along with corporate negotiation, relationship building, international trade and people mentoring, Ann will bring to TurfBreed an egalitarian approach and a quintessential interest in you.
With over 30 years experience in sales, health and customer service industries, Samantha brings unique skills in business management, creative marketing ideas, and strong strategic planning. Samantha has built her professional career on cultivating solid customer relationships, building strategic collaborative partnerships, networking extensively and identifying opportunities to assist businesses to reach their potential and grow.
Katie Fisher has extensive communications, editorial, technical and advertising experience across the agriculture and horticulture sectors. Underwritten by a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons), Katie’s experience includes public relations, publishing, copywriting and social media services for a range of clients from livestock to horticultural and now turf. Her approach is based on building strong relationship networks with stakeholders, growers, industry and government bodies, and a commitment and passion for making a positive contribution to those industries.
Malcolm Finlayson has spent his entire career in agriculture. His background is accounting and he holds an MBA, B Bus, MAICD and is a CPA. He has formerly been a Chief Financial Officer for a number of business and now consults in finance to the broader agricultural industry. He is a director of Grain Trade Australia Ltd, Plant Health Australia Ltd, Wheat Quality Australia Ltd, Finesse Solutions Pty ltd, Theodore Water Pty Ltd and LMA Support Services Pty Ltd. He is a director and shareholder of TurfBreed and is the CFO.
With 28 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, Stuart has developed a wealth of knowledge encompassing business management, establishing start-ups, wealth creation and risk management. Having held several international roles, and managing one of the largest agribusiness trading entities in Australia, Stuart can draw on an extensive breadth of knowledge. Stuart currently sits as director of Monthill Commodities Pty Ltd, Farm Invest Pty Ltd and holds an MBA from the University of Melbourne.
